Dr. Sorina Lim
Associate, MSBDE Certified
Dr. Sorina Lim is committed to providing high-quality, personalized care for each of her patients. Her approach to dentistry is centered around creating a positive and comfortable experience, knowing that many people feel anxious about dental visits. She believes in a partnership where patients feel comfortable asking questions and understanding the “why” behind every recommendation. She also enjoys working with patients of all ages, from children experiencing their first visit to adults seeking to improve their long-term dental health.
Dentistry has been a childhood dream of Dr. Lim’s since she was in elementary school. After high school, she was formally trained as a dental assistant and received her oral radiology license from the College Community of Baltimore County. As a proud Maryland native, Dr. Lim attended the University of Maryland, College Park, where she was part of the University Honors Program. She worked as a dental assistant for four years while studying for dual degrees in Art History and Biology. Dr. Lim then received her dental degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. During her time in dental school, she was selected to be in the Gorgas Odontological Honors Society and Gamma Pi Delta Society for Prosthetics Honors.
In her spare time, Dr. Lim appreciates hiking local trails and visiting art museums. She loves creating art, primarily painting and sculpting. When she is out of the dental office, Dr. Lim also spends her time volunteering. She has a strong focus on spreading awareness about oral education, frequently visiting elementary schools to encourage healthy habits from a young age.
Whether it’s a routine cleaning, cosmetic enhancements, or more complex procedures, Dr. Lim strives to make sure every patient feels confident and informed about their dental health. Her goal is to ensure that patients not only leave with beautiful teeth but also the knowledge to maintain a healthy smile.
Catherine Chung
Hygienist, MSBDE Certified
Catherine was born and raised in France, where she developed a deep appreciation for design and architecture. She earned a Master’s degree in Architecture, which equipped her with a solid foundation in creative design and structural analysis. Her career took an exciting turn when she moved to Maryland to join her husband.
In Maryland, Catherine pursued a new path in dental hygiene at the Community College of Baltimore County, earning an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. This transition reflects her passion for continuous learning and her adaptability in embracing new fields. Her diverse experiences have honed her skills in passion, dedication, analytical thinking, and openness to scientific innovation.
Outside of her professional life, Catherine is an avid explorer of new cuisines and restaurants, always eager to try different foods and dining experiences. She enjoys traveling to various countries, where she immerses herself in new cultures and traditions.
Catherine also maintains her architectural skills by occasionally helping friends and family redesign spaces, seamlessly integrating her love for design with her daily life.
